I have an SWR Bass amplifier LA series 12. It recently stopped working and just makes a loud hum when I turn it on. After inspecting I noticed the speaker is being pushed out which (correct me if I am wrong) indicates DC voltage passing were it shouldn't’t. I inspected the power amp (power supply) and found a brown stain around a 22 microfarad capacitor. If this is bad it would pass the DC voltage when it shouldn't... correct? SWR was of no help to me, they even emailed the wrong schematics. Thanks for your answers in advance

Why isn't the Federal Reserve in the list of questions for Presidential hopefuls?

Watching the Republican debates the other day it occurred to me that Ron Paul had to try to slip his criticism of the Federal Reserve in on questions that didn't have much to do with the Federal Reserve. And the debate moderator never asked him to clarify his meaning. They never ask seem to ask direct questions about candidates stance on the matter and do their best to ignore Paul's comments on it. Shouldn't the Federal Reserve be an important topic and worth discussing in election seasons?

I know it's her body and I know I have no choice in it but, me and my girlfriend just split up and we were "trying to fix things" and, she told me, her chest hurt, her stomach felt bigger and and and. No its not just for black people. Relaxers make your hair straight and pretty silky. It wont give you any volume though, you'll have to do that yourself with hairspray or teasing. But not too much teasing because that's not good for you hair. yeah the directions are confusing. generally you just mix the things you need to mix together then apply the mixture to your scalp (or better yet have your mom do it) then you should leave it in for about 10-15 minutes depending on how straight you want it. then wash it out with the shampoo they gave you until it gets white. (most of those kits have shampoo that's pink when the mixture is still in your hair, then it turns whiter as you keep shampooing) when the pink is gone and all of the mixture is out you just blow dry your hair and it should stay straight for a few weeks so if your hair is surly you wont have to use your straightener much. oh, and before you use it make sure that you DON'T SCRATCH your scalp a few days before because some of the ingredients may make your scalp have a burn/tingle sensation. if you do feel it(and its strong) just rinse it out and it should stop (if its tiny you shouldn't rinse it out there's nothing wrong- You'll live) ok thats it i think :) good luck!

Shampoo and conditioner question?

My hair is relaxed. My shampoo is a moisturizer( ors shampoo organic root stimulator) The conditioner I use is mixed with moisture and protein.(ors conditioner)......I wash my hair once a week. is it ok that I use the same conditioner once a week with my shampoo since it has protein in it? or do i suppose to use a conditioner with no protein every other week?

Would this be a waste of time (boxing question)?

I've been wanting to learn boxing for a long time and recently signed up for classes at a local boxing gym. I went to the gym twice and learned the basics like the types of punches, punching form, stance, and basic footwork stuff. However, a sudden and unexpected financial emergency made me cancel my membership at the gym because it was too expensive for me to be able to keep up. I happened to be telling this to my father yesterday and he offered to give me a heavy bag, a speed bag, a set of gloves, and some wraps he never used that he had laying in his basement. I was wondering if it would be a good idea for me for me to use that equipment to keep practicing the techniques I learned in my short time at the boxing gym or if it would be a waste of time because I can't afford a real trainer or coach. Needing insight on Utah Visitation Laws?

We are getting ready to pick up the kids, today, from their mother for extended visitation (4 weeks) We have followed all the guidelines thus far and provided the 30 days advance notice to the mother and the court. Yesterday she sent an email saying that she would not let them come if we don't give her the name address and phone number to the childcare provider, because she is going to pick them up early from the babysitter on her visitation days during our time. Also, she says that she will not send ANY clothes for the kids because things have been left at our house and she is sick of it. There was a mistake in ORS papers and HR at work and over the last 7 months, he has brought home $0 on every paycheck and we are still fighting to get it fixed..... So my questions are; do we have to give her the daycare information during our uninterrupted time (daycare already has her info in case on an emergency) ? Is she allowed to pick them up early (she is supposed to follow the same guidelines we follow when she has them and she wont allow us to pick them up early)? Dominant or submissive?

I have 4 poms, 2 older ones (M & F) & 2 1 1/2 yr M, both of which we got at the same time at 8 and 12 wks old back in Jan. of 2010. At 9 mo.old (Aug. 2010) they starting having minor aggession issues with each other ONLY-older dogs not involved. 1 day it turned aggressive with Bailey pinning Joey down. We tried to pull Bailey off Joey thinking that would do it, but Bailey was not letting go. I did a stupid thing & tried to pry his jaws open only for him to release his jaws & clamp down on my finger, which once he realized it was me, he let go. My husband & I were shocked as we never witnessed this behavior of aggression in the 20 years we have owned poms as pets. Our dogs have had fights but nothing that aggressive. The "boys" were both immediately neutered & separated until we figured out what to do. I've been told to give 1 up to solve the problem, but my dogs are my kids & I refuse to give 1 up without a fight myself. Have done a ton of research on dog aggression, how to handle it, sibling rivalry & the famous "littermate syndrome" which is the category I believe I fall under & feel really stupid that I didn't know alot of this stuff beforehand. Looking back I realize we probably should have let the fight continue & maybe it would have been settled then & there, but I was so terrified that Joey was going to get hurt that I couldn't take the risk, Bailey is 3 wks younger than Joey but also much stronger. Here is the "short" version of the steps we have taken. In Aug. they have had to be in separate rooms for about 3-4 months because they couldn't stand the sight of 1 another. Around Dec.they could at least glance at each other without being aggressive but still didn't want to be in the same room for long without trying to fight. In Jan. I decided that I needed to do more basic training with them as far as sitting, stay, wait, down, etc. & that seemed to work very well. We have been slowly reintroducing themselves to one another for the past 5 mo. now & have made GREAT progress. We are FINALLY to the point where they sometime initally growl at each other but then stop. Keep in mind they are always on leashes or we pick them up to transfer from room to room, & have NOT had any voluntary physical contact with each other whatsoever for the past 10 months. When they are in the same room, we keep them on long leashes with one being tied to one area of the room & the other tied to another area where they can just reach each other without having contact. This has gone very well on most occasions. In the past 3 weeks, we have occassionally let them have more contact (head to head) but not full body & NEVER off the leashes or without 1 of us in between them. At 1 point they were actually licking each other & play barking but eventually would both show signs of domininace with each other, paw on back, head on shoulder, etc, & then eventually lead to Bailey's stare and stance, then the warning growl, & we would quickly have to intervene So finally to the point of my question, in my research I have read that if we have 2 dominant dogs we need to decide which 1 is more dominant & then reward that dog for his dominant behavior by feeding, walking first, etc. I do not agree with this at all. I don't believe you should reward a dog for being a bully but I guess that's not the issue here. If we are to do the next step, I need to know for sure who is more dominant. We believe it is Bailey but are not sure. These are their signs. Bailey is definitely the 1st with the dominant stare & stance but usually doesn't start the dominance signs 1st as far as paw placement & usually doesn't growl first. He's more like a lion waiting for his prey type(I know that's not funny, but I'm trying to find humor in my situation) However, Joey is always more cautious if he knows Bailely is in the next room but always barks or growls first when he's coming towards Bailey. (By that I mean for example, Joey will be upstairs with my husband & when they come down, they are separated by gates but Joey knows Bailey is on the other side of the gate), When they have close contact and are behaving, Joey will ALWAYS be the 1st one to turn away from eye contact. I know this is a submissive sign but he also shows signs of dominance too. I believe Joey acts more submissive but he will definitely respond back if Bailey starts the fight which I know is understandable. But he has never shown full submission and I don't believe he ever wil Also, every time they have close contact, Joey will turn around & put his butt up to Bailey head. Bailey never does this to Joey. Is this dominance or submission? Please no lectures on being selfish & trying to keep them both.They are not in any way being neglected or deprived of anything. My ex pays child support for 2 children of a previous marriage. He wasn't behind and was waiting for the modified order to do with actual custody. Natural hair ladies: did you press/flat iron your natural hair during transitioning to natural?

I have started my relaxer stretch and am only 7 weeks post, but to me, that's good because most of the time my hair really needs a perm within 5 weeks. I have been doing a lot of research, have the best products I could get. Right now I use creme of nature and ORS deep conditioning when I do the deep conditioning, and I do hot oil treatments. Now I know there are a lot of opinions on heat and all of that, but my hair does not look right air dry so I do blow out my roots but I have it on low heat and low airway. I make sure I use a serum and heat protectant, and today I'm going to get the ends of my hair clipped. But does anybody have any experience when it comes to pressing/flat ironing you hair to match the relaxed? Have you done it? What were the results. Hairdressers do recommend this to people, and some say that they had no problem with it. I just need my own opinions and advice. I'm not growing it out to have a fro. I still want the straight look, but I am really tired of relaxers and I'm trying to take care of my hair bettter. Also, any good recommendations of leave-in conditioners/detanglers. The African Royal made my scalp itch so right now I am using Just for Me leave-in. (sorry for all the questions) :(

Each branch of the military has a difficult boot camp..... Basic Training. They are designed to break you and remake you. In the navy swimming is important, whereas in the army you only get wet when it rains. Navy has perks that you see the world from port to port. But you will be gone a lot too. I would say don't worry about what others say about the navy being easy, it may be easy to one person but be impossible for another, The military also has fat camp for the chubbier ones. Your push ups are good I would work on your sit ups and running and swimming, Expect to be treated like garbage until you graduate basic, and further humiliated during advanced training. Don't worry though soon it will be like a regular job.

VLSI is for who make chips later. Digital signal processing can be an elective, which will come close to your desire. SOmetimes though what specialisation you take is immaterial as you will have to specialise in what you do. M Tech may be a proof to say that you have the grit to specialise. Once that is proven, you can on your own specialise in amny associated fileds. To be doing microprocessor work, a BE may be adequate. You may see data sheets of some micro's from ATMEL and Renesas to judge for yourself.

I am in the process of transferring to University of Arkansas to pursue engineering. I spend my freshman and sophomore college years in accounting, and finally realized I hated it. I have always been a more hands on person and very strong in math and science, and particularly enjoy physics (not to say it is easy). I am from East Texas and also love the Northwest Arkansas area. I don't feel like myself?

For some reason, now when I see something that would make me laugh, like some Monty Python or some Halo Reach Fails of the Week or Achievement Horse, part of me thinks it's funny but another part doesn't laugh. I will tell you this. its hard, but thing is if you got into that "prestigious school", it means that you are academically prepared to be at that school. and seriously, everyone fails at least three times during college, but what matters if that you dont give up. but if you are still concerned, then just focus on one class for the summer and try to know everything about it, talk to students who already took the class, talk to that teacher, read the book, and other sources, and while you are studying , try to cut your facebook or yahoo answer time and just focus, and then when you actually get to college, you have one less class to worry about.:) but seriously, dont even stress. college will be the best time of your life and you don't just want to study for the next 4 years.. do you?

There are absolutely loads of race teams out there, I've just come back from working with the JOTA Britcar team in Spa Belgium, where the F2 races were being held at the same time. Getting work experience with a race team is easy, just call around and ask if you can help out. They won't want you getting in the way while pitting etc but during the build they will let you come around and help out and as they begin to trust your capabilities they may let you help out with more serious work. Getting work experience with F1 is a different kettle of fish though. They are so dedicated to winning and there is so much money involved that they don't want work experience people, they just want experienced people and can afford to pay for the best. Just remember if you do go for work experience, don't stand around on ceremony the whole time, always be proactive, get involved and if there is opportunity to do anything helpful (clean the floor, get the tea, put another coat of wax on the car etc) then ask if you can then do it. There is nothing worse than a work experiencer who sits in the corner doing nothing but getting in the way, they may offer you a low ranking job afterwards if you have been helpful enough which will help you on your CV. With that kind of thing on your CV you will find that courses like the Automotive Engineering course at Birmingham University (one of the best courses in the country for what you want to do) are easier to get onto and it is a solid route into the field that you want to work in. Do maths and physics as at least two of your A-levels, perhaps even going for double maths to make up your third. These are important stages in getting to where you want to get to, oh and try to get on as much as you can with anyone in the field... No its not just for black people. Relaxers make your hair straight and pretty silky. It wont give you any volume though, you'll have to do that yourself with hairspray or teasing. But not too much teasing because that's not good for you hair. yeah the directions are confusing. generally you just mix the things you need to mix together then apply the mixture to your scalp (or better yet have your mom do it) then you should leave it in for about 10-15 minutes depending on how straight you want it. then wash it out with the shampoo they gave you until it gets white. (most of those kits have shampoo that's pink when the mixture is still in your hair, then it turns whiter as you keep shampooing) when the pink is gone and all of the mixture is out you just blow dry your hair and it should stay straight for a few weeks so if your hair is surly you wont have to use your straightener much. oh, and before you use it make sure that you DON'T SCRATCH your scalp a few days before because some of the ingredients may make your scalp have a burn/tingle sensation. if you do feel it(and its strong) just rinse it out and it should stop (if its tiny you shouldn't rinse it out there's nothing wrong- You'll live) ok thats it i think :) good luck!

Is anyone out there regretting having go to graduate school, whether it was that you didn't like graduate school period or whether you thought you picked the wrong program or you regret having gone to graduate school too early? Any tips for skating switch?

I have been skating for years but was kind of contempt at the level i was/am at. Now i kind of want to kick it up a notch (before I was just ollieing things, felt like i hit a wall with that and actually gave up for years, now I want to land a kickflip before I am too old to skate). I recently got FS 180 ollies down pretty good, but once I am there, I have nothing to do. I can't skate switch. I can't even ollie fakie. once i am in that stance I am just stuck there or have to kick turn to regular (my normal stance). I just feel backwards switch. I was thinking fakie may be an easier starting point, but I am not having any luck with the fakie ollies. Any tips on "thinking" in switched stance? Fakie tricks? If you feel like throwing in any suggestions about gaining confidence back on ollie downs and/or kickflips (i'm so close it hurts) I would be open to hearing it.

I almost collapsed/fainted/idk in a hospital. Your thoughts?

Sorry this is so long. This is only about a half of what I want to share. My uncle got a heart attack and it was very shocking. We went to meet him in the hospital and it was about five of us in the room along with two doctors. There was a lot of equipment and wires attached to my uncle and occasionally beeps would go off. Before going in the room I felt uncomfortable in general. In the room I was getting very tired and I got this rush in my head. My sight started to blur and my legs were getting weak. I didn't say anything. I was unbalancing and catching my stance but no one saw. My sight got more burry and I needed to get out the room. I thought I was going to fall down. It was like I was zoning out of the real world. I told my sister next to me something like "I need to get out" or "Help me get out". I almost couldn't hear myself talking either. I just left the room and walked to a chair. I was wobbly, my eye sight was very blurred, and my head was still getting that feeling but very strongly. I tried closing my eyes and just tried to relax while resting my head on my hand. It was slowly going away and my sight became less blurred. I’ve never experienced anything like this and I’ve been in hospital rooms maybe twice before. I’m totally fine now but it think it was because hospitals are uncomfortable in general and there was just so much stuff going on in that room at once. Of course I’m telling this so I can hear some thoughts or things I should know about this experience. Thanks.

ACT Composite Score 36, but bad essay score? Does this matter?

I got a 36 as a composite score for my ACT (36 Math, 36 Science, 35 Reading, 35 Writing), but only an 8 on my essay. I have practiced Shotokan with SKI for 16 yrs and as far as i am aware the low stance is essential for the interpretation of the movement, as the knee is also performing a block. Im currently 16 years old, I bench a 120.. , my Dad was a UFC fighter at the record of 10-1, but soon decided to quit, as long as I could remember we always trained. Im a very short but, stout teenager.. 5'6 132 lbs. anyway, I got into 3 fights before I won all 3 very quick, then I got moved to another school, and I was put in a gym class, were this 20 year old would always pick on me...He's about 6'0 or so, sorta muscular. Well, he'd always pick on me, and I have a high self-esteem and I dont let little things get me down, so one day I kept ignoring him and then he comes behind me and shoves me into a glass door at the school and I cut my lip..well, then I got really pissed off, so I went after him, hit put up my stance and he hit me real good with a powerful right hook, i couldnt get out the way, it didnt knock me down, but I got up and hit him with 3 left handed jabs, then swung with all I had at his throat, I knocked the wind out of him and he fell down, so I get on top of him and start whipping his @ss, and some way somehow, he pulls me under him, and next thing you know, he's whipping my @ss, my friend's eventually jumped in and broke it up, and go figure I get in trouble and he dont at all, but 3 days later my dad knocked on his door, and kicked his butt right in front of me, it was epic as hell but I still regret losing that fight to him...

This sounds like a Certificate of Course Completion - the actual CCNA is not broken down into Exploration and Discovery paths. What is more, it sounds like it is only the first module - the full CCNA curriculum is spread over four modules. As such you don't really have a substantive qualification at all there but a certificte saying you did part of a course to get one. CCNA is a lot of work and you'd know it if you had studied for the complete qualification.
