What if the evangelical Christians succeed in turning the USA into a "Christian nation"?

Last I checked it was Mormons who held 4 out of 50 states. Mormon states do have tighter laws when it comes to alcohol and gamboling. Evangelicals do both, so I'm not sure what would change.
