How bad will a misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia hurt my chance of getting a career in engineering?

For weed? LOL recently while driving I saw coming on the other side of the street what looked like a procession of police cars (which ended up just being an escort for a bunch of bicycles) and didn't even bother throwing my lit joint out the window. You guys get way too worked up over nothing; it's a dried flower for god's sake and our bodies were designed to intake THC. Long story short, I highly doubt it will change any career plans you have. And you could always just move to California if necessary.
